Headlight Restoration

Clarity, corrected — not covered up

Oxidized, cloudy, or yellowed headlights can often be improved substantially. We tell you what we expect to achieve on your specific lenses before we start.

Process

Inspect → Mask → Correct → Refine → Protect

Five stages, in order, every time. Skipping the refinement stage is why some restorations look hazy again within weeks.

  1. 01

    Inspect

We look at the lens in good light and identify what we are actually dealing with — surface oxidation, UV damage, internal haze, moisture, cracking, or an old coating. You hear our honest read before anything is touched.

  2. 02

    Mask / Protect

Surrounding paint, trim, and seals are masked so the correction stays on the lens where it belongs.

  3. 03

    Correct

The degraded outer layer is worked down in stages using progressively finer abrasives, removing the oxidized material rather than hiding it.

  4. 04

    Refine

Sanding marks are polished out to bring the lens back toward optical clarity.

  5. 05

    UV Protection / Verify

A UV protective coating is applied to slow re-oxidation, then we re-inspect both lenses with you before we leave.

What restoration can usually improve

  • Surface oxidation and chalky haze
  • Cloudiness that dulls light output
  • Yellowing from sun exposure
  • Light surface scratching and pitting
  • Uneven, patchy lens appearance

What can limit results

  • Damage inside the housing, including internal fogging
  • Cracks in the lens or housing
  • Delamination of a factory or aftermarket coating
  • Moisture or condensation sealed inside the assembly
  • Severe UV degradation that has gone deep into the plastic
  • Prior repairs, films, or coatings that were applied over the lens

We do not promise a factory-new lens, a perfect result, or permanent clarity. Headlight plastic degrades in sunlight, and how long a restoration holds depends on climate, parking, and use. If we inspect your lenses and believe restoration will not meaningfully help, we will tell you instead of taking the booking.

Get your headlights inspected

Send your year, make, and model and we will book a time. We confirm expectations before the work, not after.

Mobile service requires customer-provided access to a working outdoor water spigot/hose connection and a standard grounded electrical outlet within reach of the vehicle. If either is unavailable, we cannot perform the service at that location.
